Admission Requirements

The courses are available to psychology graduates and experienced professionals from a variety of health and education disciplines who are interested in the application of psychodynamic thinking to a range of fields of human endeavour and intervention. Applicants require a 4-year degree in a relevant discipline from an approved tertiary institution.

Students must have done some voluntary work or been in employment in some field of professional activity involving work with children, young people, their parents and carers, or have had considerable clinical experience with adults.  They will need to be able to access child psychotherapy cases and, also, professional indemnity insurance. Students are required to have begun their own therapy in a minimum of twice weekly sessions with an approved psychoanalytic psychotherapist or psychoanalyst.
