Training in Psychoanalysis in 2021

Are you interested in training to become a psychoanalyst?

Psychoanalysts treat complex psychological problems, in adults and children, by working in the therapeutic relationship with the unconscious processes that underpin them.

The Sydney Branch of the Australian Psychoanalytical Society (APAS) is planning a training intake in the latter half of 2021. These intakes usually occur every four years.

Psychoanalytic training, whilst challenging, is enormously engaging, providing the opportunity for self-exploration, as well as in depth theoretical and clinical development.

Training in Adult and Child Psychoanalysis can be completed concurrently.  Distance training options are available for those who live outside metropolitan Sydney.

Graduates become eligible for accreditation with both the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) and the Australian Psychoanalytical Society (APAS).

For further information see: https://www.psychoanalysis.asn.au/sydney-institute

There will be an online information evening at 8pm Thursday, 5th November, 2020.  To attend, or for further details, please contact Margaret Berkovic, Chair of Admissions (margaret@berkovic.com).
